American Software to Present at Singular Research’s First Annual “Best of the Uncovereds” Conference

ATLANTA – Sept. 12, 2006 – American Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMSWA), announced today that Vincent C. Klinges, chief financial officer, will present at Singular Research’s first annual “Best of the Uncovereds” conference on Sept. 21, 2006 at the W Hotel in New York City.

American Software’s presentation, led by Mr. Klinges, is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. ET. Immediately following the 45-minute presentation and Q&A session, Mr. Klinges will conduct a breakout session for more in-depth discussion with current and potential investors. The discussion will include an overview of the Company’s software offerings, industry position and drivers, growth strategy, customer testimonials and a financial review. He will also discuss the Company’s first quarter results, which included a 27% increase in software license fees to $4.4 million, a 21% increase in services and other revenues to $9.3 million and a 20% increase in total revenues for the quarter to $20.2 million.
