Logility Customer Receives Technology & Business Award

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. Wins for the Consumer Goods Category

ATLANTA (Sept. 12, 2006) Logility (NASDAQ: LGTY), a leading supplier of collaborative solutions to optimize the supply chain, announced that one of its customers, Shaw Industries Group, Inc., has received a 2006 Technology & Business Award for excellence in the Consumer Goods industry from Start-IT Magazine. The award honors manufacturers that have helped their businesses succeed by overcoming a challenge or solving critical business issues through the use of leading-edge technology.

Shaw Industries, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is the number-one producer of carpet, rugs, ceramic, hardwood and laminate flooring for residential and commercial applications. The company implemented Logility Voyager Solutions™ to gain better control of its inventory investment by improving the prediction of demand, enabling one-number planning and gaining a better handle on the shifts in the marketplace. With the help of Logility, Shaw was able to improve forecast accuracy and more closely synchronize carpet production which led to an increase in home builders’ customer satisfaction levels and a decrease in obsolete inventory.

“We are very excited that Shaw was recognized by Start-IT in the highly competitive consumer goods industry” said Mike Edenfield, Logility president and CEO. “With Logility Voyager Solutions, Shaw can determine with a higher degree of accuracy (and confidence) what the life of a product will be, how fast the product will catch on, and how quickly the product’s popularity will wane, allowing the company to more effectively plan product introductions, analyze price points, optimize inventory investments and bring specific marketplaces into the equation.”

Each year Start-IT enrolls an independent panel of distinguished industry experts and financial analysts to choose the prestigious T&B Award winners. The 2006 panel of judges included industry experts and analysts from AMR Research, Manufacturing Insights, Gartner, Industry Directions, ARC Advisory Group and Cyon Research Corp. Award winners will be profiled in the October issue of Start-IT.
