Tyler Pipe Company Implements American Software’s Web-Based e-Store System

ATLANTA (September 13, 2006) – American Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMSWA) announced today that Tyler Pipe Company (“Tyler”) has implemented it’s web-based e-Store System and fully integrated it with Tyler’s host-based ERP System.

Tyler has implemented e-Store for use by its customer service representatives, its sales force and for an initial 3,500 customers. e-Store enables access to key customer data, customer orders, item and product catalog information over the internet/intranet on a 24/7 basis.

“e-Store has been a huge hit among our individual branches,” said Mike Snyder, utilities territory manager for Tyler. “It really helps them stay on top of things and ahead of their customers.”

“e-Store provides Tyler customers with a user friendly tool and they are excited about having this new capability,” said Gwen Jackson, IS manager for Tyler.
