Maggy London Selects New Generation Computing’s RedHorse for Apparel ERP Solution, e-SPS for Global Sourcing and e-PDM for Product Lifecycle Management

MIAMI, MIAMI, July 19 2006 – New Generation Computing Inc. (NGC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Software Inc. (NASDAQ: AMSWA), today announced that Maggy London International Ltd. has selected NGC’s RedHorse, a comprehensive ERP solution; e-SPS, a web-based integrated Global Sourcing solution and e-PDM, a Product Lifecycle Management solution for their worldwide operations across all Maggy London divisions. NGC’s products are designed specifically for the sewn products industry (Apparel, Footwear, Retailers, Brand Management and Home Furnishings) and are used by manufacturers, brand managers, retailers and importers to manage the design, sourcing and production of raw material and finished products.

Maggy London will install RedHorse, e-SPS and e-PDM at their New York headquarters and overseas offices to help streamline core business processes including global sourcing, supply chain and calendar management, technical and quality assurances, inbound logistics and inventory control. Product installation will begin with the Maggy London brand and then eventually be installed across all eight Maggy London divisions and affiliates.

“We selected NGC’s solutions based on their focus on the apparel industry and experience in understanding our business needs and operational processes,” said Jerry Sholtz, Corporate Senior Vice president, Finance and Administration, Maggy London International Ltd. “NGC is staffed with professionals and technologists that come from the apparel business and are ready to hit the ground running.”

“Maggy London faces unique IT and process challenges as each of our divisions currently maintain their own system for executing its functions from design through completion of production into our DC. This creates redundancy in data entry as well as operational inefficiencies in a company such as ours with multiple styles, fabrics and sourcing options,” said Lee Polsky, Corporate Executive Vice president, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Management, Maggy London International Ltd. “We expect NGC’s solutions to replace our various formats of spreadsheets and minimize the onslaught of daily e mails. We are confident that NGC’s various solutions will provide us, our offices, and factories with complete global visibility and transparency throughout our entire supply chain.”

“NGC’s RedHorse, e-SPS and e-PDM solutions, all specifically designed for companies involved with the manufacturing of apparel, will provide Maggy London with real time global visibility throughout their supply chain, increase operational efficiencies and transparency by creating a standardized platform across the company,” said Alan Brooks, President, New Generation Computing.

RedHorse is a highly robust ERP solution with enhanced features and functionality throughout its various modules consisting of: Customer Order Processing, EDI Information System, Invoicing and Accounts Receivable, Finished Goods Inventory Control, Components Inventory, Purchasing and Receiving, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Import Management, Remote Plant Management, Locator System and Screen Printing and Embroidery.

NGC’s e-SPS is a comprehensive web-based Global Sourcing solution that consists of multiple software modules: e-PDM, e-RFQ’s & Bids, e-Pre-Production, e-Production Tracking, e-Collaboration, e-Pack, e-Shipment Tracking, e-Exceptions, e-Quality, e-Reporting and Event Tracking Management System.

NGC’s e-PDM is a Product Lifecycle Management solution that increases speed to market and facilitates collaborative global communication by enabling companies to organize and share common business processes and information around the world.
