Edwards Garment Selects NGC’s SQL Series Software for End-to-End Apparel Solution that Includes ERP, PLM and Global Sourcing
NGC’s Integrated Solution Will Help Edwards Garment Improve Customer Service and Enhance Supply Chain Efficiency
MIAMI – May 23, 2007 – New Generation Computing® (NGC®), a market leader in ERP, PLM and global sourcing software for the fashion, apparel and footwear industries, today announced that Edwards Garment has selected NGC’s SQL Series suite of end-to-end global software solutions. Edwards Garment, a provider of corporate and casual apparel and uniforms, chose NGC after an intense, thorough review of the industry’s leading software providers.
The SQL Series products selected by Edwards Garment include NGC’s RedHorse® software for apparel ERP, e-PLM for Product Lifecycle Management, and e-SPS® software for global sourcing and visibility. The integrated, web-based suite of solutions will help Edwards Garment improve its customer service, manage its inventory of more than 80,000 SKUs, and greatly enhance supply chain efficiency and communications.
“Our current ERP system can’t keep pace with the rapidly changing demands of our business, so clearly we needed a new solution,” said Gary Schultz, president and CEO, Edwards Garment. “We required a system that will allow us to quickly fulfill orders and provide the best level of customer service, and we also needed greater visibility into the entire supply chain, from our internal design teams to our overseas factories.”
Edwards Garment chose NGC over eight other software companies. “NGC’s product capabilities were the deciding factor,” explained Schultz. “The order entry interface is superior, and NGC’s supply chain communications is best in class. In selecting a software vendor, we realized that we would be entering into a long-term relationship, so we took a long, hard look at the companies behind the products. NGC emerged as the winner. We like their web-based product design philosophy, and culturally they’re a great fit for Edwards Garment. ”
“NGC’s SQL Series suite of ERP, PLM and global sourcing solutions is demonstrating very strong market momentum, and our worldwide customer base is growing rapidly,” said Alan Brooks, president, NGC. “We welcome Edwards Garment as a customer, and we look forward to a good working relationship and a fast time to benefit.”
