James C. Edenfield, President, Chief Executive Officer, Treasurer. Edenfield is a co-founder of the company and has served as CEO since 1989 and co-CEO for more than five years before that. Prior to starting American Software in 1970, he held several executive positions and was a member of the board of directors of Management Science America, Inc. (now Geac). Edenfield earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech.
J. Michael Edenfield is Excutive Vice President, of American Software, and CEO of Logility.
Mr. Edenfield has
20 years of experience in strategic planning, sales development and delivery of
technology products and services to streamline, integrate and optimize
enterprise-wide operations and e-Business innovation. During this time,
Mr. Edenfield held several key positions within American Software including
chief operations officer and senior vice president of sales and marketing. Mr.
Edenfield holds a Bachelor of Industrial Management degree from the Georgia
Institute of Technology. Vince Klinges, Chief Financial Officer. Klinges joined the company in February, 1998 as Vice President of Finance and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in September 1999. From July 1995 to February 1998, Klinges was employed by Indus International, Inc. (formerly known as TSW International, Inc.), as Controller. From November 1986 to July 1995, Klinges held various positions with Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. including Controller of Sales Technologies, a software division of Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. Klinges holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
Jeffrey W. Coombs, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of American Software USA, Inc.. Coombs rejoined the company in 1996 to expand professional services and increase customer satisfaction after spending roughly two years in senior management positions at TSW International Inc. (now Indus International). Before his time at TSW, Coombs was with American Software from 1985 until 1994. He joined the company to create the Services organization, and was Vice President of Customer Services. Prior to that, Coombs held various technical positions with companies including Saudi Arabian Airlines and Northern Bank Ltd., Belfast, N. Ireland. Coombs earned a degree in basic systems analysis from Northern Ireland Technical College.
